APEX Social Inclusion and Developing & Broadening Participation Projects 2013
In 2013 APEX ran two small projects - a 'Social Inclusion' project funded by Cornwall Community Foundation/Adult Care and Support Grant and 'Developing and Broadening Participation' funded by The Winnifred Potter Trust. Please see the News section for more details. Meanwhile a quick photo while Jacqui and Adrian tune up.
APEX LIVE 2012
Following on from the success of The Voice Outside songwriting and recording project in 2011, Arts Participation and Expression presented APEX LIVE in 2012, a rehearsal, composition, performance and DJ skills-based programme.
This project gave participants, all with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities, the chance to promote their songs to a wider audience, learning technical and amplification skills alongside digital media/publicity tuition. APEX LIVE also provided access to DJ'ing skills and covered other performance areas such as poster design and publicity via websites/social networking.
The project culminated in three BRILLIANT shows at Redruth Community Centre, Gyllngdune Gardens and the Holifield Farm Project May/June 2012.

The Voice Outside 2011
This was the first project that Apex (Arts Participation and Expression) ran when it was still a voluntary organisation. The Voice Outside was a 1:1 songwriting and recording project and seven out of eight participants co-wrote and recorded a song with Jacqui Callis with one participant writing, producing and engineering her own song. These songs were then presented back to the whole group to sing. The following year these songs were worked into APEX LIVE. Hear the songs under our Albums section.
Apex was founded in February 2010 with funding from FEAST for a recruitment project - The Transition Singing Group - followed by I'm Doing it My Own Way - a small Xmas show Dec 2010. Constituted as a voluntary organisation in Sept 2010 we became a not-for-profit CIC in 2013.
